Squaresville’s 5th Annual Spring Breakout rolled into Lehi, Utah, this past April, and the gathering once again proved why we listed it among “America’s Top Truck Events.” Held at the Lehi Cabela’s and presented by Tuckers Classic Auto Parts, the show brought together trucks, cars, vans, and bikes for a day that mixed horsepower with hometown spirit.
The Spring Breakout has always been more than a show and shine. It serves as a fundraiser for Needs Beyond Medicine, a local nonprofit, and registration was handled in the simplest way possible: donate whatever amount you could. That approach set the tone, reminding everyone that this community cares just as much about giving back as it does about its machines.
One of the big draws this year was Utah artist Dustin “Mr. D” Murch, a name well known in the truck world. Murch has painted everything from Hot Wheels to full-sized Chevys, and his work was featured in raffle prizes that ranged from a custom tool box to hand-painted pieces. Sharing the spotlight was nationally recognized artist Thomas Estrada, who not only sketched caricatures of attendees’ vehicles but also brought along his retro “canned ham” camper filled with his artwork.
The vendor lineup was strong, with local businesses adding their own flavor. Barbudo Beard Products, Erlinda’s Salsa, and Mama’s Mountain Top BBQ Sauce set up alongside Mountain Mike’s and the Happy Tummie food truck, which kept the crowd fueled throughout the day. Raffle prizes came in from every direction, including $500 towards a new set of tires from Jay’s Tire Pros, gift cards, custom signage, and more. Multiple Tire Pros locations also pitched in with oil changes and tire discounts, a fitting nod to the trucks that left a little rubber behind on their way out of the lot.
Live music and awards were handled by Rockin Hotrod Productions Group, giving the show its soundtrack and keeping the energy high from start to finish. By the time the sun started to drop, it was clear the Spring Breakout had once again hit its stride, mixing trucks, talent, food, and community into an event that has become a fixture on the calendar.
