Whenever we hear the word “showdown”, we know something big is about to happen! Sure enough, the folks putting on the inaugural Southern Illinois Truck Showdown proved us right. The event was held at Rent One Park over Labor Day weekend last year and you couldn’t ask for a better venue for an event like this.
The weekend kicked off with a shop party held by the fine folks at Level 7 Motorsports. Tons of trucks packed the property, while guests toured the shop, mingled, and sipped beverages in the beautiful September weather.
As show day rolled around, mother nature sprinkled some raindrops on the venue, but it wasn’t enough to keep anyone of the enthusiasts away. Several hundred show vehicles rolled in and displayed their goods, with everyone that we spoke to emphatically giving us their approval and pledge to return to the 2023 event. Well done!
