If you wandered into downtown Chandler, Arizona, the weekend of the 2025 Reunion Truck Show without knowing what you were in for, you probably thought General Motors had opened a time portal. Trucks lined the streets like a high-dollar parade that parked itself and stayed all weekend. And at the center of it all? Ronnie Wetch, host of the C10 Talk podcast and the unofficial HOA prez of C10 trailer parks across the land.
Ronnie has a way of pulling folks together that feels more like a backyard barbecue than a car show. His mix of knowledge, energy, and microphone stamina kept the pace moving while trucks old and older rolled in from across the country. From clean shortbeds to crusty longbeds with stories to tell, the variety didn’t disappoint.
The show brought out everything from trailered showpieces to trucks that rattled in under their own power, still sporting 50-year-old bench seats and dash cracks deep enough to hide 10mm sockets. One guy said he left his house in Bakersfield with a fresh oil change and a prayer. He made it. Barely.
Vendors lined the sidewalks selling everything from die cast trucks to custom billet goodies. The food scene leaned heavy on tacos and street eats, which seemed to keep everyone in good spirits despite the sun trying its best to turn us into beef jerky. Arizona in March can be friendly or spicy, depending on how far you parked from the shade.
More than anything, the Reunion felt like a reunion. Folks who hadn’t seen each other since last year were picking up conversations like they never stopped. Cold beverages and wild ideas drawn in the dust on a truck hood.
Ronnie says it’s about the trucks, but the truth is, as he always says, it’s about the people who love them. And judging by the turnout and the smiles, that love is alive and well.
Same time next year? If you build it, they will come.
