The fine folks at Goodguys Rod & Custom Association know how to throw a party! Their Columbus, Ohio, event is near and dear to us. It’s right in our back yard (our office is only 20 minutes away) and we’ve been going to this one for years. This year, Summit Racing and PPG threw down a great one to make up for last year’s canceled event. If you’ve never been, it’s definitely an event to add to your bucket list if you’re looking for the key components that elevate a show to an EVENT. Tons of primo rides on hand (something like 6,500 cars!), lots of nightly cruising, and incredible hangs at the Crowne Plaza, the event’s unofficial host hotel.
For builders, this is THE event to be seen. Goodguys crowns their Street Machine of the Year and Street Rod of the Year in Columbus and they also hold the drawing for their yearly giveaway vehicle. As if you needed any more reason to go, they will be giving away a killer squarebody built by Goolsby Customs in 2022.
Sit back and enjoy the selection of fantastic GM trucks that make up but just a small part of this massive event. We’ll see you in Columbus next year!
