The red rocks of Moab echoed with the rumble of classic GM trucks as the inaugural UPcarparts.com C10 Red Rock Retreat roared to life on May 16-17, 2025. Nearly 400 trucks from 25 U.S states and Canada rolled into the scenic southern Utah town just minutes from Arches National Park, for a celebration of trucks, beautiful red rock scenery, and community spirit. What started as a celebration of vintage metal quickly transformed into something far more powerful—an event filled with jaw dropping scenery, good people, cool trucks, great times, and a heartfelt commitment to giving back to the local community.
Hosted by C10 Club Utah, the C10 Red Rock Retreat was more than a truck show. It was a movement rooted in purpose. At the conclusion of the show, C10 Club Utah Head of State Chase Clavell, took the stage to make a heartfelt donation of $15,002.00 to the Grand County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team, a contribution rooted in personal history and deep gratitude.
Nearly 20 years ago, a young Clavell suffered very serious injuries after falling 80 feet from the edge of a cliff in the Moab backcountry. The Grand County SAR Team responded to the scene of the fall, rappelled down the cliff, and administered vital life saving measures before getting Clavell airlifted to the hospital. Members of the team went to the hospital and met with his family to comfort them, and six months later the bill for rescue and emergency services was written off.
The donation was made possible through support of the community and a massive charity raffle and silent art auction. Generous contributions poured in from dozens of businesses across the C10 community to make it all possible. Prizes ranged from a complete LED light set from UP Carparts, to a set of Slosh Tubz, to a Kick Panel Speaker set with Amp from TPD HIFI, as well as hand-crafted art pieces donated by C10 community members across the country including a pinstriped mini-fridge and a custom tailgate bench.
Festivities kicked off Friday night with the Slosh Tubz Cruise to the Red Cliffs, a scenic 14-mile drive on HWY 128 that followed the Colorado River under towering red rock walls to the iconic Red Cliffs Lodge. There, attendees gathered for an all-ages pre-party featuring dinner, cocktails, and live music set against the stunning backdrop of red sandstone cliffs along the river.
By sunrise on Saturday, trucks began lining up for the main event, and hundreds of gleaming C10s filled Swanny park in downtown Moab, with the beautiful red rocks in the background. Attendees mingled, admired builds, and participated in raffles and auctions, with the show concluding with the presentation of some of the coolest trophies we have seen. Sourced from local red rock sandstone and pinion pine, each award was a unique piece of Moab itself, crafted to honor not just craftsmanship, but also the local landscape. At the conclusion of the show, Moab’s Main Street was invaded as a mob of C10s cruised through town, cheered on by crowds of locals who lined the sidewalks to witness the roaring parade of classic GM trucks.
The 2025 Red Rock Retreat wasn’t just a truck show. It was a celebration of Moab’s spirit and beautiful scenery, a reunion of friends and strangers bonded by a shared love of classic GM trucks, and an impactful charity benefit for Utah’s busiest search and rescue team. If you haven’t yet penciled the 2026 UPcarparts.com C10 Red Rock Retreat into your calendar, you better jump on it. With a commitment to keep the show a smaller more intimate experience, capped at only 550 trucks, the 2026 show will sell out quickly!
In Clavell’s words, “We came here hoping that everyone would have a good time and to make a difference in the Moab community, and I think we checked both of those boxes.”.
