Gearheads and classic truck enthusiasts descended upon Guthrie, Oklahoma, this past April 19th and 20th for the annual Truck Gathering. Held at the Cottonwood Flats Recreation Area, the event transformed 30-40 acres of grassy land into a haven for all things pickup.
Despite the unpredictable Oklahoma weather, the spirit remained high throughout the two-day event. The stars of the show, undoubtedly, were the trucks themselves. Any truck over 20 years old with a tailgate was welcome, and the variety on display was a testament to the enduring appeal of these classic vehicles. From gleaming chrome to well-worn workhorses, each truck had a story to tell.
The event wasn’t just about static displays; there was plenty to keep everyone entertained. Attendees could grab a bite from the on-site food vendors or bring their own coolers (sans glass bottles, of course).
A sense of community pervaded the event, with pet owners proudly showing off their leashed companions. It was a weekend dedicated to celebrating the love for classic trucks, forging new friendships, and reminiscing about the golden age of pickups.
