The New York State Fairgrounds came alive in mid-July as car enthusiasts gathered for the 2024 Syracuse Nationals. Under sunny skies, the event showcased an impressive lineup of vintage cars and trucks from 1999 and earlier, featuring everything from complete custom builds to pristine, bone-stock vehicles.
The weekend was packed with more than just stunning vehicles. Over 100 vendors filled the grounds, offering an array of automotive goods while attendees enjoyed live music, an exciting auction, and an engine giveaway. A special highlight was Eagle Chevrolet’s generous donation of an LS376/480 crate engine, raffled off during the closing ceremony on Sunday. The thrilled winners, a local couple, couldn’t believe their luck.
Adding to the event’s allure was the Syracuse Signature Showcase, featuring 16 exceptional builds competing for the prestigious Winfield Award and a cash prize of $10,000. For those seeking respite from the heat, the expansive 133,000 sq-ft Expo Building provided a cool sanctuary to admire these standout creations.
Among the fan favorites was a Bumblebee Camaro built by Brian Barker from Niverville, New York. This eye-catching custom was a new addition to the lineup and quickly became a hit with younger performance enthusiasts, showcasing the event’s appeal to a new generation.
To top it all off, the C10 Club New York fellas and fellettes added a blast of GM truck flavor to this year’s event. With club parking near the new Exposition Center, a huge presence of GM tin of all genres was on hand to show the crowd that the trucks we love really are a big deal.
With perfect weather, thousands of breathtaking show cars, and the contagious enthusiasm of fans, the 2023 Syracuse Nationals proved to be an unforgettable celebration of automotive passion.
