Lonnie Johnson’s 2018 Silverado stands out in the truck scene, showcasing a meticulous blend of performance upgrades and custom craftsmanship. At the heart of this impressive build is a powerful 2023 6.2L LT4 engine, expertly assembled by Race Proven in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.

The engine features an LT4 crankshaft, I-beam connecting rods, and forged pistons, all designed to withstand high levels of power and torque. Complementing these components is a Brian Tooley Racing supercharged stage 2 camshaft and LT1 heads from GMPP, which optimize airflow and enhance performance. The engine is further boosted by a Whipple 3.50 supercharger and a Magnaflow stainless steel 3-inch exhaust, producing a commanding note that turns heads.

Lonnie’s Silverado is equipped with a GM 10L80E transmission, ensuring smooth and reliable shifts. The stock frame has been upgraded with a Phat Phabz front lay frame kit, allowing for a lowered stance while maintaining drivability. A Recklez Suspension three-link setup allows for the stock bed floor and gas tank, providing enhanced handling and stability.

For the rear, Lonnie chose a narrowed original factory rear end outfitted with Moser axles, providing strength and reliability. The truck also features Accuair air management, allowing for adjustable ride height, and a Wilwood six-piston brake system on both front and rear, delivering exceptional stopping power. Phat Phabz modified stock front spindles contribute to precise steering control and allow the truck to air out on the ground.

Inside, the Silverado boasts comfort and luxury, featuring Katskinz leather seat covers that elevate the driving experience. The sound system is equipped with Kicker amplifiers and Comp speakers, ensuring high-quality audio for every journey.

The exterior of the truck has been transformed by Ryan Rich of New Creations in Lattimore, North Carolina. With color-matched stock mirrors and custom rear wheel tubs, the truck exudes a sleek and polished look. Lonnie also selected Billet Specialties BLVD69 wheels in 22×9 for the front and 22×12 for the rear, wrapped in Nitto NT420 front tires (285/40R22) and Nitto NT555 rear tires (305/40R22) to complete the aggressive stance.
