In our last chapter, we dug into the heart of Project Blue Steel’s updated air ride suspension, courtesy of the talented team at Phat Phabz. With the framework in place to lay this ’95 Chevy Silverado flat on the pavement, the next mission was to tailor the sheet metal to fit. With air-ride systems demanding significant suspension travel, clearances had to be gained, gaps had to be smoothed, and structure had to be restored. Enter the fab crew.
Three of Phat Phabz’ top-tier craftsmen were called in to make the transformation happen: Andrew “Frank” Mitchell tackled the cab, Randall Clark worked over the front end, and Parker Coombs re-imagined the bed. Each area received intensive work designed not only to clear the mechanicals, but to make everything look tight, clean, and OEM-level refined.
