In the first two chapters, we covered the hunt for the perfect OBS foundation and outlined the dream team of brands and partners helping bring my 1995 Chevy Silverado build to life. Now, it’s finally time to get our hands dirty.
Once all the parts were delivered, Jake and Sean at Phat Phabz and I set a date for the next big step — delivering the truck to their shop in Choctaw, Oklahoma. After weeks of anticipation, the day arrived. I loaded up the ‘95 on a trailer, packed every part I had meticulously sourced, and made the three-hour drive south. With the teardown officially complete, we’re ready for the next stage. In Chapter 4, we’ll get into the R&D of new OBS-specific parts, and begin the metal fabrication that will bring this truck one step closer to laying frame and turning heads.
Stay tuned — the real transformation begins now.
