Jesse Lindberg of Redding, California, never set out to build a showstopper. He just wanted a truck his wife, Haley, would love to drive. What started as a stalled project—a bare cab sitting on a frame—turned into a meticulously crafted, ground-hugging masterpiece that seamlessly blends classic style with modern performance.
“The first iteration was pretty basic,” Jesse admits. “Stock chassis, air ride, a small block Chevy with a 142 supercharger, and a 700R4. It was fun, but after seven years, we both knew it was time for something more.”
More, as it turns out, meant starting over. Jesse went all in, ditching the old frame for a Roadster Shop Slammed Spec coilover chassis, a Don Hardy-built LS3, and a 4L75E transmission. What rolled out of his garage was nothing short of stunning.
Underneath the hood sits a 376 cubic-inch LS engine, delivering the kind of power that makes highway merging a non-event. A Billet Specialties TruTrac accessory drive keeps everything running smoothly, while a Holley EFI system ensures crisp throttle response. The exhaust setup—Holley cast manifolds feeding a 2.5-inch system with Borla XS mufflers—gives the C10 a deep, authoritative growl without being obnoxious.
Power runs through a GM 4L75E transmission, ensuring that the truck can handle both spirited drives and long road trips with ease. Jesse didn’t just want power—he wanted reliability, and this drivetrain delivers both in spades.
The Roadster Shop Slammed Spec coilover chassis transformed the way this truck moves. It’s planted, confident, and doesn’t just look the part—it delivers a modern driving experience. Boyd Welding supplied the fuel tank. Billet Specialties sent their Accelerator wheels—20×8.5 up front, 22×12 in the rear—wrapped in Pirelli PZero tires, to provide the perfect stance.
Switch Suspension cowl mount hinges ensure the hood opens cleanly and smoothly, giving full view of the beautifully detailed engine bay. Speaking of details, the custom engine bay panels clean up the entire look under the hood, making everything appear as polished as it performs.
Jesse didn’t skimp on the interior. Haley’s influence is evident in the refined yet modern cabin. A Snowden seat provides all-day comfort, while TMI carpet keeps things clean. A Kenwood head unit, ARC Audio amplifier, and Focal speakers—including an ARC Audio subwoofer—deliver high-quality sound, ensuring that the driving experience is just as good from inside as it is from behind the wheel.
Dakota Digital gauges were used for this build, providing a touch that blends seamlessly with the truck’s overall aesthetic. Air conditioning keeps the cab comfortable, proving that classic trucks don’t have to be brutal to daily drive.
Phantom Grey Pearl paint, sprayed by Jesse himself, gives the truck an understated but elegant presence. The bed floor was raised and fitted with flamed maple wood, dyed with black printer ink to create a custom grey tone that matches the truck perfectly. Hart Fab front inner fenders tie everything together, adding to the clean and purposeful look of the engine bay.
Up front, Holley RetroBright LED headlights give the C10 a modern touch while keeping the classic aesthetic intact. Every detail—down to the billet badges and custom trim—was thought out with precision.
The Lindberg’s 1968 C10 is more than just a truck; it’s a rolling testament to years of passion, dedication, and an unwillingness to compromise. What started as a simple build for his wife turned into one of the cleanest, most well-executed C10s on the road today.
“She told me what she wanted,” Jesse says with a grin. “I just made sure she got it.”
