C10s in the Swamp rolled through Brooksville, Florida, this past March, and it was just the kind of laid-back gathering truck fans like us live for. The sun was shining, the breeze kept things comfortable, and the show field was packed with GM trucks of all shapes and sizes.
This wasn’t your typical show where every truck competes for a ribbon or a trophy. Nope, this was an honest-to-goodness meet-up for folks who appreciate the classics without the drama. The rules were simple: bring your GM truck from ’98 or older, an S10 from ’93 or earlier, or a G-van from ’96 or older. No judging, no squatted trucks, and no pressure, just a good time with good people.
The event was completely free to attend, but generous donations went to a local charity. It was clear that the real prize wasn’t a plaque but the sense of community that surrounded the show. Folks came to hang out, admire some great trucks, and enjoy a day away from the usual grind.
If you weren’t there, you missed out on good conversations, cool rides, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you appreciate why we keep these old trucks running. C10s in the Swamp proved once again that sometimes the best events are the ones where you just show up, kick back, and enjoy the ride.
With all of that said, you definitely don’t want to miss next year’s event. It will be held Friday and Saturday, March 13-14, 2026, at the Florida Classic Park in Brooksville, Florida. Will we see you there, right?
