Even with the pollen thick in the air, the second annual C10 Resurrection in Lexington, North Carolina, on April 5th was a clear success. The Davidson County Fairgrounds were packed with big, tall, short, and small GM trucks. The East Coast C10 community was ready to shake off the winter, get out of the garage, and back on the road in their classic GM trucks.
It sure didn’t hurt that the weather was sunny, in the upper 70s, with not a cloud in the sky. Participants came from at least four different states and probably a few more we didn’t catch. With over 320 trucks in attendance this year, up from 260 the year before, it’s safe to say the event is moving in the right direction for growing the C10 community in North Carolina and across the East Coast.
With enthusiasm for classic GM trucks being as strong as it is everywhere else in the country, the goal of this event is simple: give the C10 crowd another springtime gathering to come out, hang out, talk trucks, and enjoy a shared passion. It’s a grassroots kind of vibe, similar to what our friends have built with a little event you may have heard of called “C10 Fall Revival.”
