They say the “third time is a charm”… that’s an understatement for the 3rd annual C10 Cruise N’ Show presented by MO C10 Addiction. Their first show had about 100 GM trucks. Their second show had around 300 trucks. This latest show… had about 500 trucks!
September 9th was a brisk Saturday morning to kick off the C10 Cruise N’ Show at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri. The show had an 8:00 o’clock start time, but the trucks clogging up the city streets nearby forced an early admission. The north woods of the fairgrounds quickly filled up with trucks, and they just kept rolling in throughout the rest of the day.
By lunch, there were spectators and truck owners walking around the beautifully shaded woods, with hundreds of every type of Chevy and GM truck to see. The atmosphere of this show is one of a kind. The camaraderie of MO C10 Addiction is real, and you can feel it. The show feels like a family reunion, even if it’s your first time; you’re welcomed with open arms.
A wide variety of vendors were present as well. The Horsepower Providing Grounds Dyno Competition was a huge hit and kept the crowd entertained throughout the day. The A1 Machine booth had a 454 Big Block on display, for some lucky person to win in a charity drawing that day. Almost $7,000 was raised for the Ronald McDonald House charities.
Let’s not forget another unique feature of this show; a beautiful cruise through the Ozarks with hundreds of old GM trucks. It’s truly an experience all on its own. The fun continued after the show when the trucks invaded the local cruise night on famed “Kearney Street,” where spectators lined up to watch. If you didn’t know, Route 66 originally ran through Springfield, so with that in mind… if you plan to motor west, take the highway that runs through the C10 Cruise N’ Show in 2024.
